Juniper is used to cleanse the body and ritual spaces. It is protective and dispels negative energies and entities. It helps with concentration during meditation, for prophecy, divination, connecting with deities and nature spirits. It can be used for rites of passage, or as a protector during shamanic journeying. Known as the guardian of the threshold between this world and the next.

Juniper Berries Protection & Spirit Connection Ritual

Purpose: To cleanse your space, protect your energy, and open a channel for spiritual connection or guidance.

You’ll Need:

• A small heat-safe dish or cauldron

• A charcoal disc (optional, for burning)

• A pinch of Juniper Berries

• A white candle (for purity and light)

• Your intention

Steps:

1. Set the Space:
   Light your white candle and take a few deep breaths to center yourself. You may wish to cast a circle or simply state aloud:
   “I create sacred space. Only energies of love and light may enter.”

2. Burn the Juniper (optional):
   If using charcoal, light the disc in a fire-safe bowl until it begins to spark. Sprinkle a small pinch of Juniper Berries onto the hot disc and allow the fragrant smoke to rise.
   Alternatively, place the berries near your candle and meditate on their energy.

3. Speak Your Intention:
   While the berries burn or rest beside you, speak or write your intention. For example:
   “Juniper, guardian of the threshold, cleanse this space and protect my spirit. Guide me with clarity and connect me to the unseen realms with love and light.”

4. Meditate or Journey:
   Sit in quiet reflection or meditate, allowing the protective and cleansing energy of Juniper to surround you. If desired, invite messages from your guides or spirit allies.

5. Close the Ritual:
   Thank the spirit of Juniper. Snuff your candle and allow the herbs to cool. Dispose of ashes outside or bury them as an offering to the Earth.
