Description
Not every truth lives in the light.
Some of the most honest readings happen when you sit with your shadow.
A 78-card gothic tarot deck made for shadow work and deep reflection. 🖤The Macabre Tarot by artist Sam Rook, published by Rockpool Publishing, is a full 78-card deck with a detailed guidebook that invites you to turn away from the light and explore what waits in the dark. It follows the traditional Rider-Waite structure of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana, while the gothic artwork looks at the shadow side of each archetype. The suits become Crystals, Cups, Bones, and Daggers, and the Court Cards take on new names: Terror, Nightmare, Haunting, and Massacre. The guidebook gives both upright and reversed meanings, so you can read with the full depth of each card. Even the packaging sets the mood: a coffin-shaped box that creaks like an old door when you open it. On your altar, this deck turns any reading into a candlelit descent into your own psyche.

When you're done, thank the dark for its honesty and return the cards to their coffin. 🖤
In the shadows, there is wisdom waiting to be seen.
